This photo dramatically illustrates the reason for Big Baz naming this 50K ultra the Shadow of the Giants.
Big Baz gives out awards for the top three men & woman plus special age group awards.  Michelle Barton, who set a new female course record of 5:17:05, receives her 1st place female award from  Baz at the 2008 Shadow of the Giants 50K race.
